At the Autosalon 2016 in Paris Mercedes presented its new E-Concept car “Electric Intelligence” for the first time. Mercedes moves from mechanical control panels to futuristic touch displays without switches and knobs.
BHTC supported Mercedes developing future oriented hardware and electronic components for their innovative HMI-concept:
- Steering wheel: AMOLED display with multitouch sensor
- Center console front & rear: AMOLED multitouch-display and AMOLED touchpad
- Rear Seat Entertainment: Tablets for both front seats
Extract from the media: “Mercedes designed a completely new interior including the cockpit. Beside functionality and look-and-feel the main goal is the presentation of the new E-concept. From the illumination concept to the free configurable screens, which generate a visual ensemble. Nearly no more knobs are existing and the driver can compose the information on the displays himself”
